  • Jachttrans Holding BV has no control over the content of any websites referred to that fall outside its own domains.
  • The website and this disclaimer are governed by Dutch law. All disputes arising from or in connection with the website and this disclaimer shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in the Netherlands.
  • Within the Netherlands, our work is subject to the ABVV-VBM terms and conditions. Transport outside the Netherlands is subject to the CMR-AVC terms and conditions (the CMR Convention and the Dutch General Transport Conditions).

Cookies

  • Our website places a cookie from the American company Google as part of its “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep track of, and receive reports on, how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence over this.
  • We have configured Google Analytics so that it is compliant with the AVG (the Dutch implementation of the GDPR). We have done this by adopting the settings required by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority), as described in this document. The information that Google collects is anonymised as far as possible. Your IP address is expressly not shared. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
  • Our website and customer portal use plugins from external parties, including Google (Google Maps, Analytics) and Microsoft. You are requested to allow cookies so that these extensions function correctly. These parties may provide this information to third parties if they are legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of the party concerned. We have no influence over this and have done everything possible to limit the data sent to these parties.
  • More information about enabling, disabling and deleting cookies can be found in the instructions and/or by using the Help function of your browser. Please note that if you delete or disable cookies, our website or customer portal may not work optimally.

VRS Customer Portal

  • By accessing and using the customer portal, you also agree to this disclaimer.
  • The content of the customer portal may contain confidential information and may be subject to a statutory or contractual duty of confidentiality. Partly for this reason, certain information may not be shown to you as a user of the customer portal.
  • We ask you to report any inaccuracies to us if you believe that correcting them is necessary for the proper handling of the service.
  • In many cases, the content of our customer portal consists of information provided by our client or by third parties. We therefore cannot guarantee in all cases that the information shown is entirely accurate. Our assistance staff will go through the essential data with you, correct it where necessary and ask you to sign it.
  • The route map shown and the associated information are for indicative and informational purposes only. It is quite possible that a vehicle dispatched to your breakdown location is reassigned to another case while en route, and that a different vehicle is dispatched at some point. It may also be that the vehicle shown is not the only vehicle on its way. We hope to be able to show you a realistic picture of our expected arrival time and route.
  • Sharing information from the VRS Customer Portal on your own initiative is not permitted.
  • Photos in the VRS Customer Portal are reduced-size versions of the originals and bear a logo. In some cases, black or white images may be displayed instead of the expected photos. This may happen if there was no opportunity to take the photos, or if the situation did not allow it (for example, in situations involving serious injury or worse following an accident). We always try not to include any people in the images and to take photographs from the prescribed positions as far as possible. No rights can be derived from the absence of photos either.
  • The weather information shown in the VRS Customer Portal comes from MSN Weather and shows the weather conditions at the weather station closest to the incident location at the time the incident was reported to VRS. This may differ slightly from the actual weather conditions on site.
  • Any vehicle information shown (from the RDW, the Netherlands Vehicle Authority) is supplied by VWE voertuigdata and has a high degree of reliability. However, Jachttrans Holding BV has no control whatsoever over the content of these datasets.

AVG/GDPR

  • In its closed business systems, van Eijck Holding BV stores the following personal information in connection with the services it provides:
    • Name/address/contact details of drivers(1);
    • Name/address/contact details of registered vehicle keepers(1);
    • Name/address/contact details of policyholders(1);
    • Name/address/contact details of debtors(1);
    • Name/address/contact details of clients(1);
    • Name, signature and email address of senders (1);
    • Name, signature and email address of recipients (1);
    • Name/address/contact details of contact persons or interested parties recorded in our internal service log(s) for any valid reason(1);
    • Name and telephone numbers of recurring contact persons(2);
  • The data marked with (2) are stored in our telephone exchange, which is accessible only to the employees designated for that purpose;
  • The data marked with (1) are stored in our VRS application (domestic roadside assistance in the Netherlands) or our Transplan application (international transport) respectively. Signatures are deleted from our database once they have been processed on the digital consignment note;
  • Data marked with (1) are stored by us for the statutory retention period set by the government. As a rule, this is 7 years after the case file was last consulted. After this period, the personal data concerned will be automatically anonymised by our application in both production and backups.
  • Access to the VRS customer portal expires after 3 months of inactivity. It can be reactivated up to 1 year after last use by requesting a password reset. After 1 year, data can only be consulted by persons who are internally authorised to consult it in our VRS application.
  • Depending on the user’s access role, the VRS customer portal displays only the information that can logically be expected for that role. The roles are divided as follows:
    • Driver;
    • Registered vehicle keeper;
    • Policyholder;
    • Client;
    • Insurer;
    • Debtor;
    • Road authority involved (no access to personal data);
    • VRS employee (access depending on job role);
    • Sender;
    • Recipient;
  • Information from case files is shared only among the interested parties listed above, for the purpose of handling the assistance provided. No information is disclosed regarding any other involvement in accidents. Digital exchange via an API is available for exchanging data with a large number of clients/debtors. A data processing or sub-processing agreement has been concluded with these parties for this purpose;
  • Furthermore, the above information can only be disclosed on the basis of a court order.
  • Photos and signatures taken with our VRS app are stored only briefly in a closed ‘container’ within the application and are sent to our VRS cloud environment while the assignment is being processed. The photos and signatures are then immediately deleted from the telephones;
  • Signatures are deleted from our VRS cloud environment once they have been processed on the PDF consignment notes and sent to the interested parties concerned. Our aim is to replace the PDF consignment note entirely with the (closed) VRS Customer Portal;
  • The statutory retention period applicable to our records also applies to photos. The (digital) CMR consignment notes and other consignment notes are currently subject to a retention period of seven (7) years after the case has been closed. Photos and signatures therefore also form part of these records.
  • Our organisation’s principle is to record as little personal data as possible. We therefore primarily record only the data we are legally required to keep, the data necessary to communicate with a data subject in the context of handling the case, and the data our client requires from us in order to properly process the assistance in its own systems or those of its clients.
  • Consent to the processing of your data is included in the provisions of the ABVV-VBM conditions, the AVC conditions and/or the signature given for a completed service via our app solutions.
  • Data breaches: our systems cannot be accessed from outside the organisation, and we have therefore done everything in our power to store your data securely. Nevertheless, something can always go wrong. In such cases, you can always report a (suspected) data breach to us, after which we will endeavour to resolve the problems carefully and appropriately and will inform the parties involved of the incident and the measures taken;
  • Providing customer portal login details to third parties is not permitted. However, enforcing this is virtually impossible. Where there is reason to do so, we will block access for the specific user(s);
  • Our cloud environments are hosted on Microsoft Azure servers located in Germany (personal data, storage) and the United States (storage). In addition, our company makes very limited use of its own data centre facility in the Netherlands, mainly within the network facilities of our operating locations.

Social Media

  • With regard to social media, van Eijck Holding complies in all cases with the Social Media Policy that forms part of the ABVV-VBM conditions.

Conversion

  • We advertise via Google Ads and want to know which adverts lead to an enquiry. For this purpose, we use a Google technique called “enhanced conversions”. If you submit a form on our website and have consented to marketing cookies, the email address you entered is encrypted in your own browser (hashed using SHA-256) and sent to Google in that encrypted form. Your email address therefore never leaves our website in readable form, and the encryption cannot be reversed to recover the original address. Google uses this encrypted data solely to determine whether you have previously clicked on one of our adverts, and then deletes it. We receive only anonymised totals from Google – for example, “twelve enquiries from this campaign” – and never any data about an individual visitor. We do this on the basis of your consent. If you do not consent to marketing cookies, no data is sent in this way. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of our website.
